For IT admins
Effective: October 7, 2026
agarwalmath is a free K–5 math site that installs like an app. You can put it on every managed device so students open it with one tap, full screen. There's nothing to download or update: it's the website, so new versions arrive by themselves. Privacy details for your review: For schools.
1. What it is
- A web app (a Progressive Web App) at
https://agarwalmath.com/play. It opens Math Town, the game hub. - Works in current Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox, on Chromebooks, iPads, Windows, Macs, and Android.
- No ads, no chat, no third-party trackers, and no outside fonts or scripts. Read-aloud uses the voices built into the device or browser.
2. Domains to allow
If your web filter or firewall uses an allow list, add:
agarwalmath.com(andwww.agarwalmath.com, which redirects to it): the site.*.supabase.co: our database and sign-in service, over HTTPS and secure WebSockets (live races use WebSockets).
That's all. Category: education.
3. Chromebooks (Google Admin console)
- In the Google Admin console, go to Devices → Chrome → Apps & extensions → Users & browsers, and pick the organizational unit with your students.
- Click the yellow + button, then Add by URL, and enter
https://agarwalmath.com/play. - Set the installation policy to Force install (or Force install + pin to put it on the shelf), and keep it opening in its own window.
- Save. It appears in students' launchers the next time their Chromebooks sync, usually within minutes.
4. iPads (your MDM)
In your mobile device management (Jamf School, Mosyle, Intune, or another), add a Web Clip to the iPads' profile:
- Label: agarwalmath
- URL:
https://agarwalmath.com/play - Full screen: on
- Icon:
https://agarwalmath.com/icons/icon-512.png(some MDMs pick it up by themselves)
Without an MDM, a teacher can add it on each iPad: open the site in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen (steps with pictures: Install the app).
5. Windows and Macs (Chrome or Edge policy)
Both browsers read the same policy, WebAppInstallForceList. With Intune, Group Policy, or your Mac management tool, add:
[{ "url": "https://agarwalmath.com/play", "default_launch_container": "window", "create_desktop_shortcut": true }]It installs on next sign-in and appears in the Start menu (or Launchpad on a Mac).
6. How students sign in
- Students don't need accounts, emails, or passwords. Teachers make class profiles and print QR login cards, or turn on picture login for a class period (students type the class code and tap their animal).
- Students can also play as guests; guest progress stays on that device.
- There's no single sign-on or rostering (Clever, ClassLink, or Google) yet, and nothing is needed from your directory.
- On shared devices, picture logins end by themselves when the teacher's picture login turns off (at most 4 hours).
